In light of recent technological advancements, the agency is considering the need to retrieve MOT test data for vehicles manufactured recently.
In modern vehicles, driver assistance systems are increasing in sophistication, and on even more advanced vehicles, they are mandatory. The more common these become, the more dependent drivers become on them, so the question arises whether they should be tested.
There are three new defect categories in the newest MOT test: Minor, Major, and Dangerous. Potential MOT changes have been hinted at by the DVSA.
